Not to be confused with Tow Mater.

Tow, called Race Tow Truck Tom in merchandising, is a tow truck for the Piston Cup. He pulls damaged racers away from the track when they break down or crash.

He is a Houslital Crew Cab with a blue and yellow livery, resembling a Ford F-150 (tow truck conversion), and a 2001-2002 or 2003-2006 GMC Sierra 3500 with short headlights, albeit a lack of turn signals.

History[]

In Cars, Tow is seen at the Motor Speedway of the South among several other Piston Cup tow trucks. After Chick Hicks causes a multi-car crash, Tow pulls a battered Chuck Armstrong towards pit row, despite the racer's interjections.

Trivia[]

  • Strangely, despite his model being called "Crew Cab", a configuration of truck with two extra full-sized rear doors, he only has two front doors.
    • However, either "Single Cab" or even "Standard Cab" would work better as his model name.
