He was later involved in the accident caused by Chick Hicks, in which he collides with Murray and Misti Motorkrass and receives some minor damage, but he is able to continue racing.

Between the events of Cars and Cars 3, Johnny retired and Tommy Highbanks became the new Faux Wheel Drive racer.

He's been involved in more collisions than any other car in Piston Cup history, earning him the nickname, "Magnet Face." He's also known as the hardest working car on the circuit, though he hasn't finished a race in the ten years he's been competing. He holds the record at 545 starts and zero finishes."
