Piston Cup racer
Brian Spark is a professional race car who competed in the Piston Cup Racing Series. He replaced Claude Scruggs as the Leak Less racer, but was replaced by a Next-Generation Racer in the 2017 season.
In Cars 3, Brian competes in the 2016 season alongside many other traditional stock cars. However, Jackson Storm's performance sparks interest in the "next-generation" of high-tech racers, and teams begin replacing their current racers with next-generation rookies. During the Los Angeles 500, he is one of very few veteran racers still racing. Other ones include Lightning McQueen, Rev-N-Go Racer, Buck Bearingly, Darren Leadfoot, Murray Clutchburn, Ponchy Wipeout, Ralph Carlow, Dino Draftsky, Rev Roadages and Reb Meeker. After the Los Angeles 500, Leak Less fires Brian and replaces him with a Next-Generation Racer for the 2017 Florida 500.
- In a Cars 3 trading card set, Brian is incorrectly named Ed Truncan, the name of the next-generation Mood Springs racer.
